THE MISSION

A historic landmark's Identity!

SUNY Construction Fund

Main Entry & Lobby Renovation

5,000 sqft

Currently occupied by the SUNY Administration, the goal was to visually clarify the present identity of this historic landmark in Downtown Albany. Originally built in 1914 as the D&H Railroad, the building received a new distinguishable Main Entrance design and Main Lobby renovation by HDG, complementing its historic Gothic architecture, resulting in an improved presence in its dual residential-business district.
Abstract Graphic Shapes

Before

Location of main entrance was unclear. Buildings identity in neighborhood was elusive.
